Congratulations to the 2012 Horace Mann Abraham Lincoln Fellowship winner, Alli Shaughnessy. Alli is a teacher at the Cold Spring ES of the Plymouth Public Schools. Each year The Horace Mann Cos. sponsors Educators from all over the country to visit the Lincoln Library and Museum to attend an accredited academic fellowship. Educators write in an essay to Horace Mann stating why they deserve to attend the fellowship in the summer. This year Horace Mann went social and took entries through Facebook.
Educators will be able to collaborate and communicate ideas about their fellowship experience and share that experience with their classroom. Horace Mann will pay for the travel, hotel and meals. The educators will visit the Lincoln museum, library, burial and replacted log cabin located outside Springfield. The Horace Mann office in Plymoouth MA is proud to have presesnted this honor to Alli during a presentation at the Cold Spring ES on April 4th. In attendance were Alli's teacher colleagues, the school principal and the Plymouth Schools Superintendent Dr. Maestas along with Assistant Superintendents Dr Pamla Gould And Chris Campbell.
Congratualtion Alli, job well done!
